32Gb on my machine and I've never had ram issues. Usually macs are efficient with memory but also I would still recommend 48 if you can't get 32 that way you're good to go for a while

i am thinking of getting a new macbook and i'm confused with the amount of RAM i need : 24GB or 48GB

i heard that memory pressure is a thing and i will probably be using the machine for 2D & 3D designing and also a heavy use of graphics assets. my 16GB machine hangs like mr. fking cliffhanger (the guy below) and i'm scared it will be the same for the 24GB of memory.
