32Gb on my machine and I've never had ram issues. Usually macs are efficient with memory but also I would still recommend 48 if you can't get 32 that way you're good to go for a while

will be using it for 7 years so i should then go with 48 right ? hmmmm then now i’m wondering… since i’ll be using it for 7 years whether i should stick with 512gb storage and external ssd or go 1tb
